I create these giraffe salt and pepper sets using a combination of methods – slipcasting, slabrolling and handthrowing on my potters’ wheel at my studio Old Farm Pottery. We are part of a rainbow nation in South Africa and I try to reflect that in my work – my giraffes are available in all colours of the rainbow.
The giraffe can stand on a table in a home or in a restaurant as a centre piece. They can be ordered in colours of the clients choice, but I need about 2 weeks notice to create a full rainbow set as I am the only one working at the moment in the studio. And the current corona pandemic may also may impact on delivery time, so please be patient.
