PEEK Frequently Asked Questions
PEEK is South Africa’s biggest digital portal dedicated to visually showcasing beautiful craft and design products made in South Africa. Peek provides a platform for South African businesses anywhere in the country to showcase their work to a local and global audience, highlighting the very best of what South Africa has to offer.
We are in the progress of building this. Phase one is the new PEEK you are on now and we hope you love it. Right now you can view and connect with all the vendors but soon we will start adding products you can purchase directly.
To create a profile and list your products on PEEK, please sign up as a Craft and Design Institute (CDI) “Business Member” at https://www.thecdi.org.za (click the box on our CDI website that says “I own a creative business”) – then use the same username and password to log in here on PEEK and create your profile and upload your products – all free and only takes a few minutes!
The Craft and Design Institute (CDI) has developed a range of activities to help improve creative businesses. We work with craft producers, designers and other creative entrepreneurs. We have a range of services to help you grow. The CDI is a not-for-profit company and the activities and support we offer are free or highly subsidised to ensure everyone can have access.

PEEK runs ongoing marketing campaigns to showcase South African craft and design products and help consumers globally find beautiful locally-made products – therefore driving traffic to the PEEK site. You do however still need to do your own marketing, it is highly recommended that you use your PEEK profile in your own marketing to raise awareness. If you need additional help with marketing training to grow your business, the Craft and Design Institute (CDI) has developed a range of activities to help improve creative businesses. No, the PEEK platform, in its search and connect format, is entirely free to use at present for craft and design businesses.

On any page of the Peek.org.za website you can login to your account at the top right account icon. You will find the option to edit your name, email address + password under Account info.
Yes, we offer click and collect, to our only store at The Watershed, V&A Waterfront, 17 Dock Rd, Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town, 8002.

Courier Collection: Our couriers will send you an SMS reminder the morning of your selected collection date. Once collected, your return will be delivered to our warehouse for inspection.
Drop-Off: You can drop your return at the PEEK Watershed store for inspection.
– Log into your PEEK Account.
– Go to the Returns tab and enter the order number for the item(s) you want to return.
– Choose the item(s) you want to return by ticking the box(es)
– Select a reason from the drop down list which is best suited for returning the item(s).
– Where applicable you may be requested to add a photo and complete any additional comments on the reason for your return.
– Choose your method to return by selecting Collection or Drop-off. If choosing Collection you can choose from your Address list or add a new address, before selecting a collection date.
– Select Submit your return.
– Tick the box to accept the returns policy.
